JAMMU, Oct 6: To ensure preparedness on ground and to check coordination and reaction time in case of bomb blast, grenade attack, fidayeen attack or any other subversive activity, a mock drill was conducted on Residency Road including area of Raghunath Mandir, KC Residency, Shaheed Chowk, CM House and DC Office Jammu.
SOG, CAPF, police officers and officials from Sub-Division City North and West including Bus Stand, City, Pacca Danga, Peer Mitha and Nowabad police station participated in this exercise.
According to SOP prepared for such situation, plugging of lanes leading to place of incidents to prevent the crowd, catch and hold the suspect, diversion of traffic routes and appeal to public for not to believe in rumours were adopted. Naka points of Sub Division North were also put on high alert.
The whole exercise was carried out in view of border disturbance and present security scenario in the State.
