CJI takes part in several functions in Ramban

Thakur_2608704fRAMBAN: Chief Justice of India T S Thakur today took part in a series of functions in his native Ramban district.

Justice Thakur, who reached here yesterday on a two-day visit, inaugurated a community hall at Batroo, named after his late father D D Thakur.

He also inaugurated a munsif court at Kunchi and laid the foundation of another munsif court complex in Hunga.

Earlier, he inaugurated DD Thakur Library at the district and sessions court in Ramban and met the members of the Bar Council of Ramban.

Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir High Court Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar, Minister for Rural Development and Panchayti Raj and Law Abdul Haq Khan, Supreme Court judges Justice D Y Chandrachud, Justice A M Khanwilkar, Justice S A Bobde, Justice Anil R Dave, and Jammu and Kashmir High Court judge Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir and other dignitaries accompanied him during the visit.
