NMC urges for special fund to implement 7th Pay Comm report in J&K

JAMMU, Oct 9: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC)  President Subash Shastri today urged the Vice Chairman of NITI Ayog to earmark Rs 9,000 crore as special fund for the Jammu and Kashmir Government to help implement the 7th Pay Commission report in the State  and regularize over sixty one thousand daily rated workers  working in the  various departments so that long pending demands  of employees of  the Government and pensioners as also daily rated workers  could be addressed once for all.
Interacting  with media persons here,  Shastri said that the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti should take up the issue of grant of special package with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley to ameliorate the condition that the salaried/working classes find themselves in view of sharp increase in the prices of essential commodities and inflation.
While appreciating the  programs and policies of  Government Shastri appealed the Chief Minister for creating  a separate wage head  for their  wages in the current year budget, they  will be paid  regularly under the budgetary provision  adding that this interim  measure  will long way to redress their grievances, financial hardships in view of escalating inflation  and price index in the first instance.
Shastri also demanded release of current month salary, pension and all pending wages in favour of employees of the State Government pensioners and 61,000 daily rated workers well before ensuing Diwali festival.
