JAMMU, Oct 9: Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh on his tour to Gujarat today visited Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Ltd’s solar power projects in Ahmadabad and inter-acted with the officers to explore possibilities of setting up of similar projects in Jammu and Kashmir.
Dr Singh, who was in Vadodra to attend two-day conference of Power Ministers of all States of the country, chaired by Union Power Minister Piyush Goyal, utilized the opportunity to visit solar power project and met the officers.
He discussed the possibility of setting up of solar power projects in Jammu and Kashmir on the pattern of Gujarat.
The Narmada Nigam Limited officers agreed to visit Jammu and Kashmir on the invitation of Dr Singh, who holds charge of the Power Development Department, to examine and explore possibilities of setting up of solar power projects in J&K.
