Govt withdraws police picket from Ramnagri, exposes minorities to risk

JAMMU, Oct 9: There has been a wide spread resentment among the people over the withdrawal of police post which was guarding the minority community members in Ramnagri (Jamnagri) in South Kashmir district of Shopian following the recent militant attacks on the police picket in this hamlet in which a cop was killed and a member of minority community was injured.
According to reports minority Hindu community at village Ramnagri             ( Jamnagri) in South Kashmir district of Shopian was having a police post from so many years. Same police post has been withdrawn by the Government today.
One Puran Koul is already battling bullet injuries at 92 Army Base Hospital Srinagar who suffered serious injuries during recent attack on this post.
Families presently residing there feel totally harnessed this time and their lives are in danger as any thing can happen there at any time.
The members of KP community have also made an appeal to Government to restore security to these families.
