JAMMU, Oct 10: About 2.72 lakh pilgrims visited holy cave shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi ji during Navratras this year, which concluded this evening.
Reports said during Shardiya Navratras last year, 2,76,286 pilgrims had paid obeisance to Goddess Vaishno Devi Ji while the number this year stood at 2,72,417.
Though the number this year declined by about 4,000 compared to last year, it was significant in view of prolonged Kashmir unrest and tensions at the borders following surgical strikes by the Indian Army inside Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK).
Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) had made elaborate arrangements for the pilgrims during the Navratras.
