SRINAGAR: Government has suspended two revenue officers and initiated enquiry against them in two separate cases in the summer capital, Srinagar.
An official spokesperson here today said that the Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar has placed Patwari Halqa Rainawari under suspension and attached him in the office of Additional Deputy Commissioner (R) Srinagar.
“The action has been taken on the basis of complaint filed before Revenue Minister about the allegations of misconduct by the Patwari Nazir Ahmed Baba. Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar has been appointed as enquiry officer to conduct enquiry in to the matter within a period of 15 days,” he said.
Meanwhile, he said Girdwar Chattabal has been placed under suspension and attached to the office of Tehsildar Pantha Chowk pending enquiry into the allegations against him.
“The Additional Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar has been appointed as enquiry officer to conduct enquiry into the matter,” he added. (AGENCIES)
