JAMMU, Oct 14: Jammu East MLA and Chief Whip of BJP in the State Assembly Rajesh Gupta kick started the work of different lanes of Pakki Dhakki and Julaka Mohalla in Ward No.2 by way of laying of paver tiles and drains costing Rs 47 lakh.
The officials of the JMC who accompanied the MLA included Executive Engineer, Joginder Paul, AEE Gurcharan Singh and JE R.K.Koul and Satyam.
Rajesh Gupta, while speaking on the occasion said that the changes taking place in Jammu are transformational as in a short span of time Jammu has established itself as the educational centre of North.
Rajesh Gupta said that the announcement of IIM for Jammu is a landmark achievement and is going to have a huge impact on the overall developmental scenario of Jammu. This comes close on the heels of the inauguration of IIT that has already started functioning in Jammu. In a few months we will also have AIIMS in Jammu, he added.
Two years before it was unthinkable that such institutions would come up in Jammu but it is only due to the BJP Government in the Centre and the State that this has become possible.
Gupta was accompanied by senior BJP leaders Daleep Gupta, Shashi Sapolia, Gokul Koul, Subhash Sanghra,Krishan Kapoor, Rajinder Sikka, Ajay Kumar, Sudhir Sharma, Raman Kumar, Jagdish, Ravinder Aggarwal, Romesh Gupta, Kulbhushan Anand, Satpal Rathore and Rajeshwar Singh.
The prominent who attended the function included Ravi Singh, Anil Sharma, Kuldeep, Vageesh Bharti, Dayaram, Sahil, Rajinder Gupta, Raj Kumar, Rajesh Nischal, Amit , Yogesh Jee and Rinku Malhotra.
