AIKS Trust discusses various issues

JAMMU, Oct 15: A meeting of All India Kashmiri Samaj (AIKS) Trust functionaries, members of Jammu Centre was convened by Vijay AIma, president AIKS and chairman of the Trust here today.
Aima deliberated in detail on issues concerning AIKS Trust and displaced KP community which was set up in 1993 by Late Pt Dwarikanath Munshi the then president AIKS and Pt M L Koul secretary with S L Shakdhar former Chief Election Commissioner as its chairman and former Ambassador T N Kaul, former DGP ITBP, Gautam Kaul, former Director SOS, J N Kaul, industrialist Raj Nath Kar, Dr T N Khushoo and Brig (retd) B N Madan as first Board of Trustees.
In J&K eight founder members were made who included Maj Gen (retd) B N Dhar, Late Justice J N Bhat, former Minister P L Handoo, M L Harkar founder Jagriti Niketan, B L Kher former Director Codes, Prof Gopi Nath Mujoo, C L Sadhu, educationist and social activist and Ashok Kak. Prof Muju, C L Sadhu and Ashok Kak are the only surviving members of the Trust at Jammu. However Kak has now shifted to Botswana. They in addition to donations for setting up the Trust augmented resources to raise its corpus amount. Aima launched the Trust at Jammu after taking over as chairman of AIKS Trust and he framed the fresh Board of Trustees soon after the founder members of Governing council meeting.
In the meeting Sadhu was nominated as coordinator with the objective to provide the services to the most deserving members in the camps/non camps with active cooperation of other members of the AIKS Centre, Jammu and the president K K Khosa of K P Sabha Jammu and senior vice president AIKS, New Delhi.
Others who attended the meeting included A K Raina vice president AIKS, Vijay Kashkari convener, Prof G K Muju, founder member AIKS Trust and Aryan Ramesh, secretary AIKS.
