JAMMU, Oct 16: A man died last night after he allegedly received electric current from the battery of a tanker here at Gandhi Nagar.
The deceased was identified as Sewak Singh (55) son of Balwant Singh, resident of Ward No 1, Simbal Camp. The mishap occurred at Gandhi Nagar near petrol pump, last night, after which the victim was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors.
Today, after completing all medico-legal formalities the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites. The concerned police has registered a case in this connection and started investigations.
