Srinagar, Oct 17: In the series of steps taken to bring back normalcy in Valley and smiles on the people’s faces, Army organized distribution of mobility and hearing aids to the needy during a mega medical camp at GB Pant Hospital here.
A defence spokesman said the Chinar Corps has been able to reach out to the differently abled persons by distributing wheel chairs and hearing machine. Over 500 people were benefited by the consultation and free medicine provided during the medical camp in which Army’s medical team of physicians, dentists, nurses and paramedical staff worked in concert to provide the much needed healing touch to the locals.
He said the preventive medical counseling was also provided. “Despite continuous bandh calls, the locals attended the event and showed their gratitude by maintaining peace.  Refreshments were catered for the population who had come from far-flung areas,” he said.
