Over 1000 people benefit from army medical camp

Srinagar, Oct 17: Over 1000 people in south Kashmir’s Kanchlu village of Kulgam district benefited from a medical camp that was organized by army.
A defence spokesman said the two day camp was inaugurated by Brigadier AN Kukreti, who is the Commander of Wuzur garrison, yesterday. “The event has received a heartening response with over 1000 people including women, children and elderly having benefitted from the specialist medical care given by a very proficient team of 5 Army and civil doctors,” he said.
The spokesman said the Commander, during his visit to Devsar Army camp today, also interacted with the locals and assuring them of all possible help, urged them to open schools and shops. “The locals lauded these selfless steps of the Army to bring ‘peace and calm’ back into their lives,” the defence spokesman added.
