POONCH, Oct 19: A soldier was killed at a forward location in Mendhar sub sector of Poonch this morning.
A Police official said that 23-year-old L/Nk Anil Vora from 15 Mahar was deployed at a forward location of Mendhar sub sector. This morning his body was found hanging in the nearby area under mysterious circumstances. The soldier hailed from Bhivani area of Haryana.
The senior officials of the unit rushed to the spot after receiving information. Later, they informed Mendhar police. SDPO Mendhar, Shahid Nahim said that the cases appeared to be suspicious.
A case has been registered in this connection at Mendhar Police Station.
The body after conducting legal formalities and postmortem at SDH Mendhar was handed over to the unit. Later, it was sent to soldier’s home town Bhivani in Haryana.
