JAMMU, Oct 21: In connection with the 224th Birth anniversary celebrations of Maharaja Gulab Singh, Natrang showcased a film on the musical opera ‘Gulab Gatha’ at its Studio Theatre at Kachi Chawni, Jammu.
Jam-packed with young enthusiastic audiences, the show was aimed at educating them about life and contribution of great warrior, and visionary who is known world over for his well-planned strategic and diplomatic intelligence.
Conceived, Designed and directed by Padamshree Balwant Thakur, this presentation was produced last year in association and support of Maharaja Gulab Singh Memorial Trust.
On the occasion, Aarushi Thakur thanked Dr Karan Singh and the management of Maharaja Gulab Singh Memorial Trust for giving Natrang an opportunity to create this historic master piece which Natrang keeps showcasing at frequent intervals.
Many people in the city might not know the accurate realities of the journey of Gulab Singh and some might even believe in the interpretations presented to them. There have been lot of instances of illusory judgments on Gulab Singh. When this show was presented to the people of Jammu, they experienced enlightenment and took with them a story which had never been told and appreciated in our city.
The prominent actors of Jammu who featured in this historic film show included Rahul Singh as Gulab Singh, Madan Rangeela as Ranjeet Singh, Suresh Kumar as Mian Mota, Subhash Jamwal as Dewaan Chand, Sanjeev Gupta as Lal Singh, Neeraj Kant as Zorawar Singh, Dimple Sharma as Pandit, Gaurav Jamwal as Kishire Singh, Sajra Qadir as Rani Jinda Kaur.
