JAMMU, Oct 21: A woman, who had allegedly made an abortive attempt on her life by hanging self at her residence at Phinder in RS Pura, expired today here at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
According to a police spokesman, the woman identified as Poli Devi (45) wife of Pawan Kumar, resident of Phinder (RS Pura) was shifted here at GMCH on October 19 after she allegedly tried to end her life by hanging self at her residence.
He said that the woman expired today at about 11.30 am. After completing all medico-legal formalities, the dead body was handed over to its legal heirs for last rites while the concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
