INTUC leader asks Govt to implement agreement made with JCC

SRINAGAR, Oct 3: Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) activists held a meeting at Ashmuqam in South Kashmir district of Anantnag under the chairmanship of P N Pandita, national secretary of the organization today.
Addressing the meeting Mr Pandita urged the State Government to implement the agreement made with Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) of employees on their various demands.
While justifying the employees’ demands Mr Pandita said that the Government should not backtrack from its agreement as this will send a wrong signal among the working class whoa re the backbone of the state.
He also expressed grave concern over the removal of subsidy on LPG and said that the consumers all over the state have been put to problems due to stopping of home delivery by gas agencies.
Pandita demanded that the J&K be given additional quota in view of approaching winter and its hilly terrain. He said the daily rated workers can’t afford the high rate of LPG and the Government should review the decision of six cylinders supplied to people of state per year and raise it to 12 cylinders.
