BJP, JKFFA remember Ashfaqullah Khan

JAMMU, Oct 22: BJP Freedom Fighter & Martyrs Cell under the leadership of its State Convenor Bharat Bhushan Sharma, organized a programme here today in memory of great freedom fighter Ashfaqullah Khan on his 116th birth anniversary.
BJP State vice-president, Yudhvir Sethi, State secretary Sanjay Baru, State spokesperson Balbir Ram Rattan, Mahila Morcha district president Rekha Mahajan and other leaders laid wreaths at the portrait of Ashfaqullah Khan and paid tributes to him.
Yudhvir Sethi, while speaking on the life of Ashfaqullah Khan, said that his sacrifices for the freedom of the country from the British itself proves that no religion or region is above motherland  and the present generation should follow the noble principles and path set by the people who left the luxuries of life and jumped into freedom movement.
Sanjay Baru, BJP secretary also paid tributes to the martyr of freedom movement. He said the life of Ashfaqullah Khan is an inspiration for the youth.
Bharat Bhushan,  Bansi Lal Bharti, Parmod Kapahi, S.S. Bijral, Pt. Ashok Kumar Khajuria, Aqib Choudhary, Showkat Choudhary, Abid Malik, Kulbushan Mohtra, Ramesh Manhas and others attended the programme.
In another function organized by Jammu and Kashmir Freedom Fighters Association (JKFFA), floral tributes were paid to Shaheed Ashfaqullah Khan, who worked along with Netaji Subash Chander Bose and S Vallabh Bhai Patel and Madan Mohan Malvia.
The Association organized function at Dogra Shaurya Sthamb, Ambphalla. The function was organized by president JKFFA, Ved Gandotra and vice president. A two minutes silence was also observed in his memory. The speakers highlighted the sacrifices of Ashfaqullah Khan.
