SRINAGAR, Oct 22: Director General of Police (DGP), K. Rajendra Kumar visited Police Telecommunication Hub here today to take stock of the status of its further modernization.   During his visit, Rajendra said that modernization of Police Telecommunication network has become imperative to further strengthen the working of JKP. He said communication system plays pivotal role to coordinate and synergise strategies among different wings of the organization. An efficient and strong communication network enhances the efficiency of the manpower to work in a more professional way, said the DGP.
Rajendra said that during the past some years the responsibilities of JKP have increased manifold and the role of Police Telecommunication Wing has also become more vital. To bring different police establishments closer, a well equipped Police Telecommunication Hub has been established at Srinagar which regulates the communication system in the Valley. The hub has been provided latest equipment and logistics with trained staff, said the DGP.
DGP was accompanied by IGP Telecommunication M. A. Ganai and DPT, Hilal Ahmed Shah.
SSP Telecommunication (Kashmir), Manzoor Ahmed Shorie briefed the DGP about different aspects of the system. He said that with the inception of this communication hub coordination among different units of the organization would be enhanced.
