JAMMU, Oct 28: Director General of Police K. Rajindera Kumar reviewed law & order and security scenario in Jammu Zone in general and arrangements for Annual Darbar move in particular.
The DGP was accompanied by DGP Coordination/Law and order S.P.Vaid.
IGP Jammu Zone Danesh Rana briefed the DGP about various arrangements made by Jammu Police to strengthen the law & order and security grid in the backdrop of annual Darbar move opening in Jammu on 7th November and ongoing escalation on IB/LoC. He said that all necessary arrangements have been made and the concerned field officers and Units stand thoroughly briefed and sensitized.
Detailed briefing was also given by the officers of Intelligence Agencies and field units including BSF/CRPF.
K. Rajendra Kumar while appreciating the efforts of various agencies in maintenance of law & order and keeping the terrorists infiltration activities under check, asked them to put in their best for ensuring adequate security and law and order arrangements during the functioning of Winter Capital in Jammu.
He laid special emphasis for maintenance of law and order on the opening day of Darbar. He stressed upon effective coordination, adequate briefing to the officers and men being deployed and effective supervision over the ground deployment to achieve better result. He advised the officers of Jammu Zone to have joint security review of the vital installations at Jammu and Katra and carry out the regular mock drill at selected places.
He issued detailed instructions to IG Traffic about bringing improvement in the regulation of traffic. He desired that the traffic deployment should be dynamic. More traffic personnel be deployed where traffic jams are frequent to avoid inconvenience being caused to general public.
