Anchal Manhas elected president of Railway Taxi Operators Union

JAMMU, Oct 28: Annual election of Taxi Operators Union, Railway Station Jammu, was held today in which Anchal Singh Manhas was declared elected by securing 313 votes by defeating Devinder Kumar Choudhary who poled 142 votes. Surinder Kumar Shinda and Rajinder Singh Raji got only 48 and 3 votes respectively.
The election was conducted under the supervision of Election Chairman S Ranbir Singh and Vice Chairman Sudershan Kumar Sharma.
Other office bearers elected were S Ravinder singh (Sonu) as vice president who secured 321 votes as against 136 votes polled by S Avtar Singh and 48 votes by S Paramjeet Singh. Baldev Raj Sharma was elected as general secretary who bagged 307 votes as against 148 secured by Sanjay Sharma and 51 got by Vijay Kumar.
