J&K DGP visits border areas

JAMMU: Director General of Police K Rajendra Kumar today visited the firing affected border hamlets and lauded troops for giving befitting reply to the enemy.

Flanked by senior officers of police and BSF, the DGP conducted a detailed visit to the most affected border villages falling under the jurisdiction of Abdullaian Panchayat and Shamka Panchayat respectively, where heavy firing from across the border is going on due to which some villagers have been affected and were evacuated to safer places at ITI college RS Pura and City Middle School RS Pura.

He also interacted with BSF Jawans and felicitated them and found their morale high and appreciated the valour of giving the befitting reply to unprovoked and continuous seizes fire violations from across.     The BSF and other officers who were present on spot briefed the DGP about the current border situation.
