NC Cell castigates Govt for denial of ration to migrants

JAMMU, Oct 31: National Conference (NC) Minority Cell in its meeting here today held under the leadership of its president M K Yogi has expressed serious concern over the denial of ration to Kashmiri migrants for last three months.
The meeting termed it a gross human rights violation on the part of authorities saying that many families are at the verge of starvation as Government has failed to supply the ration.
Yogi said last week Pandits also protested against the scarcity of ration in front of Relief Organization and Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner had assured at that time that ration will be available within couple of days but to no avail.
Yogi also demanded immediate release of pending salaries of PM package employees as they are suffering a lot as their salaries were not released in this festival season also.
B L Bhat Ex MLC and chairman of the Cell warned the Government and administration of server consequences if ration was not released within two days. He also castigated the present coalition for their non seriousness towards the hapless migrants. He asked the relief authorities not to harass the migrants on every count.
Both the NC leaders made a joint appeal to Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and sought her intervention in the matter.
The meeting among others was attended by Harmohinder Singh, Shuban Ji Pandita, Bal Krishan Bhat, Amit Koul,, Abhay Bakaya, Bittu Ji Bhat, etc.
