Gold ornaments worth Rs 1.20 lakh stolen from temple

MUSURU, Nov 5:      A thief, who disguised himself as a devotee, robbed jewelleries worth about Rs 1,20,000 from a temple near Manchegowda Koppal here today.

The missing golden ornaments which decorated the goddess at the Yallamma temple came to the notice of the Priestess Lakshmamma in the morning. She immediately informed the Vijayanagar police.

Police suspect a man, aged around 35, who visited the temple as a devotee, to have committed the crime. The police have also advised the temple authorities to install CCTV cameras for security.

Vijayanagar police have registered a complaint and have begun  investigation. (UNI)
