Dimple demands district status to Jammu West

JAMMU, Nov 6: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) president Sunil Dimple has demanded grant of district status to Jammu West Assembly Constituency and immediate formulation of Delimitation Commission.
Addressing press persons Dimple also demanded immediate steps to make Jammu a Smart City. Dimple threatened to start ‘Jan Andolan’ from November 10 if their demand for the grant of district status to the West Assembly constituency was not met with.
He said no development has taken place in the constituency in the last 2 years, as the BJP MLA is silent on this aspect.
He alleged that BJP is responsible for discrimination with the Jammu region as it has never fought sincerely for the Jammu and is only running for the sake of power and chair.
Dimple criticised Government for worst traffic problem in Jammu city and demanded construction of the flyovers in city for smooth flow of traffic.
He called for widening of the Canal- Akhnoor road and construction of circular roads around Jammu.
Dimple urged the Governor N N Vohra to hold the CBI, Vigilance inquiry of the funds allotted to PWD R&B for black toppings in the West assembly constituency and the for Jammu city as there are lot of irregularities in the utilization of the funds.
