JAMMU, Nov 6: The Jammu and Kashmir National Trade Union Front (NTUF) has  resolved to support protest  call given by Government employees, need based/ casual workers and pensioners under united platform at Divisional Commissioner’s office here on November 8.
Addressing press conference here today  president of  the NTUF, Mohd Gafoor Dar and other trade union leaders Rajinder Kumar, Nazir Ahmed Molvi, Raj Singh and Vikram Jit Singh  declared to fully endorse and support the protest programme announced by united platform of Government employees, need based/ casual/ temporary workers and pensions on Tuesday.
Dar said that this protest  is being held outside the office of Divisional Commissioner Jammu at Rail Head Complex near Panama Chowk to press the State Government  for immediate settlement of the burning demands of the workers  like,  regularization policy for the casual/ need based/ temporary workers  engaged in all the departments after 1994, implementation of 7th Pay Commission report in the State,  enhancement of Medical  Allowance  of  Government employees and pensioners etc.
He pointed out that since the Central Govt has implemented the 7th Pay Commission in favour of its employees and pensioners,  the State Govt has yet to take a decision on it.  He hoped that PDP-BJP Govt would also implement the same before the State employees go for the  agitation.  He said that Government should also pay the pending wages of the daily wagers/ temporary workers as their families are facing starvation.
These leaders appealed the Government employees, casual / need base and temporary workers and pensioners to assemble  in large number at Rail Head Complex near Divisional Commissioner’s office on November 8 for massive protest dharna.
