JAMMU, Nov 7: Jammu West Assembly Movement today held a protest demanding the Central Government to impose Governor rule in J&K in the wake of Kashmir unrest and deteriorating condition in border areas of the State due to ceasefire violations by Pakistan.
Leading the protesting activists, who burnt the effigies of Pakistan PM, Nawaz Sharief and PDP-BJP Government in the State besides Pakistan flags, JWAM president, Sunil Dimple, said that people of border areas in J&K as well as our Jawans are being killed in ceasefire violations by Pakistan, standing paddy crops and houses are being destroyed and cattle killed in mortar shelling.
He demanded the PM to pay a visit to LoC in Jammu and see the blood bath with his own eyes. Dimple alleged that BJP-PDP Government in the State has totally failed to control situation in Kashmir and providing shelter, medical treatments and other essential facilities to the border migrants.
Dimple demanded Governor N.N. Vohra to recommend the Central Government for imposition of Governor rule in the State.
