JAMMU, Nov 9: BJP Government at Centre has failed to implement One Rank One Pension (OROP) Scheme for defence personnel.
This was stated by Namrta Sharma, General Secretary, Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) while addressing a public meeting in Bishnah.
She said that ex-servicemen have been betrayed and forced to commit suicide for OROP and Central Government is still insensitive about this serious issue.
Sharma added that the BJP Government in Centre has failed to fulfill a single commitment with the people and had created miseries for the poor people.  She also criticized the coalition Government in J&K for failing on all fronts in giving effective governance to the people of the State.
She added that Bishnah constituency needs overall infrastructural development and the people of the constituency are suffering badly due to the non-availability of basic amenities like proper roads, fresh water supply, electricity, ration supply and good Government educational institutions. She said that the BJP coalition Government also failed to tackle the ongoing trouble in Kashmir.
She appealed to the people to strengthen the hands of Congress party as only Congress has the ability and potential to run the State and nation.
