LONDON, Nov 11: Rocker Gregg Allman has postponed his tour dates for the rest of the year due to a vocal injury.
The music veteran was scheduled to hit the stage for a short residency at the New York City Winery this month before hitting the US southern states for a tour, but he cancelled two of his performances in New York this week and has since scrapped the rest of his shows, reported Contactmusic.
“This is the hardest thing I’ve had to do in a long, long, time,” a statement from the “Midnight Rider” singer read.
“I’ve been on the road for 45 years because I live to play music with my friends for my fans. As much as I hate it, it’s time for me to take some real time off to heal.”
The 68-year-old will not return to the stage until next year. (PTI)
