AMCCC delegation calls on Bukhari

JAMMU, Nov 11: A delegation of All Migrants Camp Coordination Committee (AMCCC) called on Minister of Revenue Relief and Rehabilitation Syed Basharat Bukhari and Commissioner Secretary Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department and discussed the problems of Kashmiri migrants with them.
The delegation was led by Desh Rattan president of the organization and its other members included vice chairman of the Committee B L Koul, spokesman Bittu Ji Bhat, general secretary M M Kanth, Rinku Ji and Jai Krishan.
The delegation expressed grave concern over hiking the price of ration for migrant employees and pensioners under APL category from Rs 10 per kg to Rs 15 per kg and termed it injustice. The delegation demanded that the same be revoked immediately.
The delegation also demanded that the Department be given directives to ensure immediate supply of ration in non camp localities also. The delegation demanded that the ration for employees be increased from 20 kgs to 50 kgs per family and for relief category from 9 kgs to 15 kgs per soul, opening of new depots for KPs in camps and migrant colonies, simplification of bifurcation of ration cards, making suitable changes in old record and restoration of RBA status to migrants.
