Trauma Hospitals to get critical care ambulances soon: Asiea

JAMMU, Nov 11: Trauma Hospitals in the State will soon get critical care Ambulances and in this regard Minister of State for Health and Medical Education, Housing and Urban Development and Social Welfare Asiea Naqash today inspected these ambulances at Medical Supplies Corporation at Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu.
The department will distribute 18 ICU ambulances and 136 normal ambulances to the Trauma Hospitals which is the joint initiative with MoHFW, GoI and State of J&K.
The Minister took stock of the arrangements put in place for early distribution of the ambulances to hospitals. She was informed that the ambulances will be given to the Trauma Hospitals soon after completion of paper work so that general public get benefit from it.
She said the Government is committed to provide better health care facilities to the public and that every step will be taken to ensure that better healthcare is provided to the people.
Minister said that the ICU ambulances will help in tackling emergency situation by reducing fatalities as patients will get immediate medical aid in these ambulances.
Minister was accompanied by M D Medical Supplies Corporation Dr Yashpal Sharma, Director Health Jammu Dr Gurjeet Singh, Director Motor Garages Zakir Hussain Choudary and other concerned officials.
