Students return from ‘Paigam-e-Aman’ tour

SRINAGAR, Nov 12: A group of students today returned to Rampur area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district from ‘Paigam-e-Aman’ tour.
A defence spokesman said the tour was flagged off on October 31 from Baramulla by GOC Dagger Division and today it was flagged in by Commander Pir Panjal Brigade, Brigadier Sanjay Mitra, in prescience of civil and military dignitaries, parents and teachers of Army Goodwill School Boniyar.
He said during the tour, the students visited Delhi, Agra, Jaipur and Jammu and went to Jama Majid, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Red Fort, Nehru Planetarium, Taj Mahal, Jantar Mantar, Jaigarh Fort, Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Bahu Fort and Hari Palace. The boys interacted with a number of senior civil and military dignitaries during the visit.
The defence spokesman said the tour was aimed at educating and showcasing the rest of India on aspects of cultural diversity, co-existence, infrastructure growth and opportunities for personal growth.
