POONCH, Nov 12: Shamsher Hakla Poonchi has appealed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for special recruitment in Indian Army, Border Security Force and Jammu and Kashmir Police for Gujjar and Bakerwals.
Hakla also demanded to Prime Minister of India to sanction special developmental package for development of Gujjar region of J&K.
In a statement issued here today, Hakla said the Gujjars and Bakerwals being nationalists by core have suffered a lot in 27 years long turmoil and cross border firing over these years as majority of them are living on LoC.
Hakla said these people have been worst hit by the ongoing shelling from across the border and faced lot of destruction after the civilian areas were targeted by the Pak rangers.
