Various bodies support Govt employees’ strike

JAMMU, Nov 14:  Various Govt employees’ organizations have supported the strike call given by Jammu Kashmir & Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association on November 16 and 17.
J&K Social Welfare  and ICDS Employees Association led by Farida Bano, J&K Youth Services  and Sports Department Employees Association led by  F J Bashir and J&K Agriculture Clerical Employees Association led by Sanjeev Singh Jamwal, in separate meetings held today extended full support to the pen down strike of the clerical cadre employees on November 16 and 17.
The major demands of the employees included removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre, reorganization of clerical cadre, holding of DPC, implementation of 7th Pay Commission report and enhancement of medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 2000 per month in favour of State employees and pensioners.
Meanwhile, senior Trade unionists  Babu Hussain Malik, Bharat Bhushan, Meenakshi Sharma, Vikas Chander  and others appealed to the employees to participate in large number in the strike programme. They also appealed the employees to assemble at Press Club on Nov 17 for the massive protest rally.
