JAMMU, Nov 14: On the auspicious occasion of Kartik Purnima Maha Yagyas were solemnized at various places today.
A large number of devotees thronged the Mata Chakreshwari Mandir at Dhoke Paloura near here, today where a Varshik Maha Yagya was solemnized. The Hawan was performed for peace and prosperity of the nation.
The devotees paid their obeisance to Goddess. The Hawan started yesterday evening and Puranahuti was performed this afternoon which was followed by serving of prashad to devotees. Swami Kumar Ji of Geeta Satsang Ashram Muthi was also present in the religious function.
Another Hawan was performed by Kashmiri Sahik Samiti Trikuta Nagar in which a large number of community members participated. They prayed for the welfare of the countrymen and prosperity of the nation. The devotees were served prashad after puranahuti.
