NEW DELHI, Nov 17: wheat prices advanced by Rs 30 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today on increased demand from flour mills.
Bajra and maize also moved up on pick up in demand from consuming industries.
Traders said increased demand from flour mills kept wheat prices higher.
In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) and wheat (Desi) advanced by Rs 30 each to Rs 2,170-2,175 and Rs 2,650-3,185 per quintal respectively. Atta chakki delivery traded higher by a similar margin to Rs 2,180-2,185 per 90 kg.
Other bold grains like, bajra and maize went up by another Rs 40 and Rs 50 to Rs 1,520-1,525 and Rs 1,630-1,640 per quintal respectively.
