KISHTWAR, Nov 17: Follo-wing technical snag in water lift scheme of PHE, Kishtwar town and adjoining areas have been badly hit due to non-availability of drinking water.
As per reports, there are 2 lift schemes one provided by NHPC and another of PHE which lifts water through different pumps from old HRT to lone filter plant of Kishtwar.
Since yesterday, the lift scheme of PHE is not working as a result of which water crisis have deepened in various localities around Kishtwar town.
As per PHE authorities, the required equipment is being arranged from Jammu and once it replaces the damaged one there will be improvement in the supply of drinking water.
