JAMMU, Nov 17: A man died today here at Government Medical College and Hospital after he was hit by a tractor in Nagrota area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a pedestrian identified as Chet Ram (59) son of Hukam Chand, resident of Roi Morh (Garigarh) was hit by a tractor near Kandoli Mata temple in Nagrota area, this evening.
“In the mishap, the man received serious injuries and was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he expired after few hours”, the spokesman said, adding, the body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for postmortem while a case was registered by Nagrota police and efforts started to nab the accused tractor driver.
