DSEJ apprised of problems being faced by private schools

JAMMU, Nov 18: The executive committee of central body of Private Schools Association called on the Director School Education Jammu, Babila Rakwal and apprised her about the genuine problems being faced by the private schools.
Kamal Gupta, President of J&K PSA, explained that even as the Government of Jammu & Kashmir has taken initiative to amend SRO 123 to streamline the recognition process, most of the schools functioning up to class 8th are still deprived of such benefit as their recognition is pending since March 2010.
He demanded immediate disposal of the all pending files of private schools as per the criteria fixed for granting permission / affiliation /recognition of private schools vide Government order number 385 -Edu of 2016 dated 05-10-2016. To settle the ambiguous situation whether unaided Private schools fall under J&K RTI Act 2009 or not, he demanded a copy of such circular or order in which private unaided schools fall under the ambit of RTI act 2009.
Ajay Gupta, general secretary cum State coordinator PSA, sought immediate instructions to all CEOs/ Dy CEOs/ZEO’s of winter zone of Jammu Province to adhere to the circular no. 538 DSEJ of 2015 Dt. 03/10/15 based on the fixed parameters for confirmation / countersignature of result of Private schools as CEO Ramban was superseding this circular by issuing new circular CEO/R/16/ 22059-22140 dt 05 /11/16 reason best known to him.
Director School Education gave a patient hearing and assured the members for the early disposal of their genuine problems.
The deputation comprised of Sanjeev Luthra, Ajay Singh, Vaneet Gupta, Koushal Kumar, Ram Parkash Sharma, Ankush Verma, Gulab Din and Laddi Sharma.
