RAJOURI, Nov 18: The police busted a gang of burglars and nabbed its four members along with stolen goods/ property from different locations in Rajouri area.
Official sources said that on the directions of SP Rajouri, Atul Sharma, the police party led by SHO Chaman Gorkha under the supervision of DySP Headquarters, Hamid Choudhary conducted raids at various places and managed to nab four burglars. They were identified as Asif Malik, son of Farooq Malik; Mohd Zahoor, son of Mohd Shakoor- both residents of Bela Colony Rajouri; Sajjad Sheikh, son of Nazir Sheikh, resident of Kheora and Mohd Anwar, son of Mohd Shafi, resident of Saranoo near Rajouri. FIRs No 423/ 2015, 708/2016, 724/ 2016 , 155/ 2016, 496 / 2016 and 695/ 2016 were pending against them. They were evading arrests.
The special squad framed by the SP, managed to bust the gang and solve several theft cases. The police recovered one LCD, 2 Mobile phones, one cycle, one laptop, 8 GI pipes and three motor-cycles. The police is searching for some other accused involved in the theft of bikes. One Alto car and a Pulsar Motor-cycle was also seized by police under Section 550 CrPC.
