SAMBA, Nov 18: A medical camp was organized by 173 Battalion BSF at Health Sub Center in village Manguchak under Civic Action Programme.
During medical camp, large numbers of ladies, children and old aged persons from villages of Manguchak, Chilliyari and Khora area were examined.
Medicines were distributed among the border population and blood pressure, sugar and ECG tests were done by the team of medical officers from BSF.
Pradeep Katyal, DIG SHQ BSF I/Nagar was the chief guest, while Kuldeep Raj, MLA Hiranagar, also graced the occasion.
Pradeep Katyal emphasized on the need of regular medical checkup and awareness about fitness among the villagers. He assured the border population that more such camps will be organized in future also.
The villagers said that the initiative of 173 Battalion BSF will go long way in strengthening the relations between people and BSF.
