LOS ANGELES, Nov 19: “The Crow” remake has left Relativity Media after the studio was put up for sale last month following its bankruptcy filing.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the revival project, now titled “The Crow Reborn”, has now been picked up by a consortium of companies, Davis Films, Highland Film Group and Electric Shadow.
The reboot of Alex Proyas’ 1994 classic was nearing production before the Relativity debacle.
Corin Hardy was set to direct the film and Jason Momoa was booked to play the lead role of Eric Draven originally portrayed by Brandon Lee.
Production is now scheduled to begin early 2017.
It’s unclear whether or not Momoa is still attached to the project but an announcement is expected to be made soon.
Meanwhile, rumours say Hardy will still sit at the helm. (PTI)
