‘Qaumi Ekta Divas’ celebrated by NHPC

JAMMU, Nov 19: As a part of “Qaumi Ekta Week”, being observed at all the locations of NHPC Limited from today to November 25, a ‘Qaumi Ekta March’ was taken out at Salal Power Station, Jyotipuram (Reasi) and a function organized at Regional office of NHPC in Jammu.
At Regional office of NHPC Limited here at Narwal in Jammu, a function was organized today to formally announce start of ‘Qaumi Ekta Week’. The inauguration was done by MS Babu, Managing Director, Chenab Valley Power Projects Private (CVPPP) Limited and S Kalgaonker, Working Director, NHPC Limited by lighting the traditional lamp.
Speaking on the occasion, both MS Babu and Kalgaonker advised all the employees and officers of NHPC Limited to work in unison to maintain an atmosphere of peace and tranquility. Other officers of NHPC including Yogendra Kotha, SN Tiwari, KL Acharyulu and Dr MS Lakda were also present on the occasion.
At Salal Power Station, Reasi, officers and employees of the Station, CISF personnel and school children in large number led by AG Ansari, General Manager, Salal, gathered at Ramleela Ground Jyotipuram and marched at Jyotipuram to convey the message of communal harmony and National integration.
Speaking on the occasion, Ansari said that the occasion provides all of us to reaffirm our age old traditions and faith in the values like tolerance and co-existence in a multi-cultural and multi-religious society. He further advised all present to promote communal harmony not only during observance of the week but to continue with the noble cause for the welfare of the Nation.
