Over 62 children attend HBET scholarship camp

JAMMU, Nov 19: Over 62 children attended the scholarship distribution programme of the Harbans Bhalla Educational Trust on the 1st day of the nine-day camp, today.
After every three months, HBET launches this carnival for distributing scholarships among its existing students as well as for conducting evaluation test of both its existing students and new students.
Chief guest, Ram Tirath Dubey, Joint Director of Fire & Emergency Services, told the students about the benefits of education and advised them to make full use of scholarship and support of the trust.
With a mission to change lives of needy children through literacy support programmes, HBET has been providing scholarships and conducting various other child welfare schemes for past 19 years. Over 85% children are from rural areas. A total of over 600 children will receive scholarships in the nine days carnival being held by the Trust.
On the occasion, Trust also conducted Eye check up and counselling of the parents/students.
Families of financially weak children from class 1st to 3rd can apply to the trust for scholarship. The trust only accepts students studying in Government schools.
