JAMMU, Nov 19: As a step forward to give succour to the general public where they are being attended patiently and their grievances redressed promptly, 5th Conference of MHCs of all the Police Stations and Police Posts was held in District Police Lines, Jammu under the chairmanship of SSP Jammu.
All SDPOs were also present. These conferences are being organized more frequently with sole aim to brief and sensitize the field staff, who are the real ambassadors of J&K Police working at cutting edge level, and interacting with the common man daily in Police Stations, Police Posts.
The focus of the conference was to ensure that their approach and behaviour should always be positive and non-biased while giving relief/justice to the common man who are approaching Police Station of varied issues.
It was made clear to them that their working is being continuously monitored. Some MHCs of Police Stations/PPs have been reprimanded to improve the work culture in their respective Units failing which they shall face the action. They were asked to put extra effort to pen down the pendency and deal common man’s complaint with full dedication.
The participants were also instructed to remain extra vigilant in their AOR in view of prevailing security scenario. Their responsibility is increased as the SHOs/IC PPs generally remain committed with multifarious assignments, so it is the utmost duty of them to supervise the beats, and make Beat Incharge fully responsible in their beat including other developments. Emphasis was given to give public relief and put human face of police before the public.
At the end, they were directed to deal with general public very politely/sincerely and assured the applicants that they shall deal their problems properly and under rule to maintain a public friendly environment. It was impressed upon all of them to imbibe good qualities and attend the general public politely with decorum, so that they may not feel disgusted. The conference was attended by MHCs of 25 Police Stations and 34 Police Posts and Readers of all SDPOs.
