JAMMU, Nov 19: A man was today crushed to death by a bus here at KC Morh.
According to a police spokesman, a man identified as Sanjay Sharma (46) son of late Amarnath Sharma, a resident of Pacca Danga (Akhnoor), was going on his scooty bearing registration number JK02BG-7118 when a driver of Swift car bearing registration number JK02BH-8833, which was parked on the road side, suddenly open the car’s door, and the scooty of Sanjay rammed into the door.
“Due to collision, Sanjay lost balance and fell on the road and in the meanwhile a fast moving bus bearing registration number PB04V-3041 coming from behind crushed him to death”, the spokesman said, adding, on getting information police reached the spot and shifted the body of the deceased to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where after completing all medico-legal formalities, it was handed over to its legal heirs for last rites.
He said that a case in this connection was registered at police station Bus Stand and efforts were on to nab the accused in the case.
