JAMMU, Nov 22: Rich tributes were paid to Lt Gen Bikram Singh during observation of his 63rd death anniversary by Lt General Bikram Singh Yadgar Committee at Bikram Chowk today.
Committee chairperson Lalita Sharma, Organizing Secretary S Charanjeet Singh, Advisor S Bachan Singh, Organizer S Gajan Singh, Susheel Sharma, Parhlad Singh and a several members of Freedom Fighters’ Association were present on the occasion. Two minutes silence was observed by the participants.
The speakers unanimously urged the Government to re-erect the statue of General Bikram Singh at its previous position where his mortal remains were consigned to holy pyre as not at the present location. They added that Akhand Paath cannot be held properly at the new location.
