Sunil launches several development projects in Kishtwar

Kishtwar, Nov 25: Minister of State for Transport (Independent Charge), Revenue, Public Works (Roads &Buildings), Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Sunil Kumar Sharma today laid the foundation stone of several key construction works of Municipal Committee Kishtwar.
The Minister laid the foundation stone of light vehicle parking near the bridge to Higher Secondary School Kishtwar. Under district plan 2015-16, the parking lot is being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 5 lakh.
Sharma said that the construction of such parking lots will ease the issue of in-city traffic congestion due to wrong on-road parking of private vehicles. He directed the district administration to explore more avenues for creation of such assets for the welfare of general public at large.
Later, Sharma laid another foundation stone for construction of lane and drain around NH1B. The work will be executed at an estimated cost of Rs 7 lakh under Integrated Development of Small & Medium Town Scheme (IDSMT).
District Development Commissioner, G N Balwan besides other officers of Municipal Committee accompanied the Minster.
