Modi performs yoga with DGPs

HYDERABAD : Prime Minister Narendra Modi went on a morning walk and did yoga exercise along with Director-Generals of Police from across the country on the sprawling SVP National Police Academy campus, here today.
Mr Modi was here to attend the ongoing Annual All India DGPs’ Conference.
He went on a morning walk with the participating police top brass from 0600 to 0630 hours on the salubrious campus.
Later, the Prime Minister along with the DGPs performed various yoga asanas from 0630 to 0700 hours. He also had the breakfast along with officials.
Mr Modi garlanded the statue of Sardar Vallahbahi Patel after whom the prestigious academy is named and went round the various blocks in the campus.
The Prime Minister arrived in the city last evening to participate in the three-day 51st post-Independence DGPs/IGPs Conference-2016 which began at the NPA campus yesterday.
The Conference was inaugurated by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh.
Mr Modi later participated in the conference which began at around 0800 hours and would continue till 1700 hours.
Union Ministers of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju and Hansraj Gangaram Ahir, besides National Security Adviser (NSA) Ajit Doval were among those who attended the event.
Issues like cross-border terrorism, radicalisation of youth and attempts to lure Indians into Middle East by terrorist groups like ISIS, will be discussed threadbare in the conference. (AGENCIES)
