President “Sarhad” calls on Governor

JAMMU, Nov 26: Sanjay Nahar, President “Sarhad”, a Pune based NGO accompanied by Shailesh Pagariya, President of Arihant Education Foundation, Pune, called on Governor N.N. Vohra, at the Raj Bhavan here today and discussed with the Governor issues relating to socio-cultural- educational exchanges of students studying in Kashmir and Pune.
Nahar also briefed the Governor about “Sarhad’s” ongoing initiatives to educate and promote the interests of the conflict affected children of J&K.  He presented to the Governor, “Punjab Panorama”, a book brought out by the “Sarhad” on the occasion of the first Vishwa Punjabi Sahitya Sammelan held at Pune to which the Governor had been invited but could not attend.
Governor also met Joginder Singh from district Doda 15 of whose family members were killed by terrorists in 1999. Presently, he is a student of Commerce final year in Pune, where he is studying with the financial support of “Sarhad.” Governor asked Joginder Singh to meet him after completing his studies and assured support in his future employment.
