CCI holds discussion with JMC Comm on Smart City

JAMMU, Nov 26:  Members of Chamber of Commerce and Industry Jammu today held discussions with the Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation on Smart City  proposals.
The meeting regarding discussion on draft proposals for Smart City Jammu was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation Dr. Manmohan Singh,  in the meeting hall of JMC with the representatives of  Jammu Chamber led by its  president Rakesh Gupta and accompanied by senior vice president Sham Lal Langar,  Arun Gupta- secretary general, Rahul Mahajan- secretary, Ashu Gupta- treasurer and others.
During the course of meeting, M/s Voyants Solutions Pvt Ltd,  the Technical Consultants gave power point presentation of the Jammu Smart City proposal prepared by them. The members of CCI Jammu appreciated the steps of JMC for making proposal regarding Jammu Smart City and assured they shall extend their full cooperation to JMC in making Jammu a Smart City. The members of  Jammu Chamber also gave  their suggestions  and expressed views for the same.
Chamber of Commerce claimed that it would help JMC to conduct extensive public participation through bulk SMS campaign, face-book page promotion and whatsApp.   Commissioner, JMC instructed the officials to undertake the public participation platforms seriously and conduct extensive citizen engagement through both offline and online modes.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Neeraj Gupta, Chief Accounts Officer, Ranjit Singh- secretary, Kushal Chand, Joint Commissioner (Works), Dr Anita Salgotra – Health Officer, Joginder Singh, Chief Town Planner, Harinder Arora, Sr Town Planner, Surjeet Singh, Executive Engineer (Electric), Dr Jaswant Singh, Municipal Veterinary Officer, Rajesh Gupta, Kamni Kesar, Chief Enforcement Officers and Talat Mehmood Khan, Chief Transport Officer.
